Dr. Saakshi Joshi

Postdoctoral Fellow

Dr. Saakshi Joshi holds a doctorate in Anthropology from the University of Delhi, India. During this period, she was awarded the Fulbright-Nehru Doctoral Research fellowship. Her dissertation explored notions of belonging among people impacted by dam-induced displacement. She has joined the EQUIMOB project as a post-doctoral researcher. Based in Delhi, she is exploring women’s experiences of travel and associated challenges. Previously, Dr. Joshi has worked as a Senior Research Associate with the global think-tank, Centre for Science and Environment. Her areas of interest include qualitative research methods, Himalayan and Appalachian anthropology, urban studies, storytelling, and the communication of research.
