EQUIMOB webinar ‘Mobility Matters’
On 28th April 2022, over 50 attendees from different parts of the world attended the EQUIMOB webinar – Mobility Matters. The interactive webinar included presentations spread over two sessions. The speakers discussed critical themes around transport for different population groups including social justice, citizenship linked to transport, participation in the city, and different dimensions of women’s safety during travels. These presentations were rooted in research from different parts of the world including cities in Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, India, and Indonesia.
We ended the webinar with an open discussion where attendees and presenters interacted on various topics including different aspects of mobility, violence against women, transport infrastructure, and behavioural changes, linking these with right of space for different population groups.
