EQUIMOB presentations at CURA Summer School

Our members Ms Seama Mowri and Mr Prajwal Nagesh participated in the Urban Methodologies Summer School organised by the Centre for Urban Research on Austerity (CURA) between 21-24 June. The summer school organised for early career researchers focused on the theme ‘Urban Inquiries for a Post-Pandemic City.’ The programme included masterclass sessions on critical qualitative GIS, comparative urban research, collaborative mapping, research ethics and discourse analysis.

As part of the student presentations, Prajwal Nagesh presented methodological reflections from his doctoral research on the mobility of older adults in Bengaluru. He focused on the use of behavioural mapping, ethical predicaments and the post-COVID use of telephonic interviews. The four day summer school provided a platform to discuss urban methodologies from multiple perspectives and offered better understanding to use these methods more aptly.
