EQUIMOB and Meaningful Mobility (MM) meeting

On 19th October 2020, researchers from the EQUIMOB project and MM project met for a follow-up online meeting to update each other on their respective work progress. The MM project, funded by the European Research Council and based out of the University of Groningen, focuses on mobility practices in later life and their connection with well-being in three socio-cultural contexts. The present joint meeting was conducted with a focus on the comparative study of experiences with doing telephonic interviews in different countries;  possibility of adapting EQUIMOB’s online survey for use in The Netherlands / United Kingdom; and whether EQUIMOB could help MM do an Ecological Momentary Assessment (EMA) study in India, remotely.

The initial part of the meeting included brief presentations by the researchers on the work progress since the last joint meeting on 6th July 2020. The MM team also gave a presentation on EMA. The later part of the meeting dwelt upon discussions around conducting research during a pandemic, potential areas for collaboration, and context-specific concerns and modifications when using the same research method.
